After my Dell Latitude D600 Stopped charging. I needed something to jumpstart and charge it. I was scared to buy this worrying it wouldn't fit but also because half my motherboard is burned out. I put it in a right away it started charging! I was so happy to get my old laptop back. It charged and I was able to use all the ports on the dock that had been damadged on the laptop. My neighbors had the same charging and motherboard problem so if you have this problem this is a great way to get your laptop back! I was going to buy a $1000 laptop but instead I spent $15 on this!!! Buy it used it's worth the money getting it used for $200 less!

This was the first time I purchased a used product from the Amazon web site. I'm glad I did because I saved so much money. The key to purchasing used is to read the details posted by each seller. I purchased my port replicator (PR01X) from CST Mall (Computer Solution Tech). I liked that they listed the product as a "Genuine Dell Product" and at the time of my purchase, like new. The product I received works perfectly, and was as described. The product looked brand new. I would purchased used again, but recommend reading the details for each seller before doing so.

Docking stations prevent user from plugging in various peripheral devices which are less necessary while mobile. They smooth the transition between mobile and desktop computing. I have the following devices plugged into mine which has worked flawlessly for 2 years:
- mouse
- keyboard
- ethernet cable
- power cable
Tilts laptop for more ergonomic typing position. Worth it even for just a power cord and mouse because it is so easy to connect - just press the laptop into it. Only drawback is Dell did not make a single docking station compatible with all their laptops, so your next laptop will likely need a different station.
